Imagination

At Whim W’Him, a ticket is just the beginning. Membership invites those who harbor hope to join a community that embraces dance not to escape the world but to meet it with curiosity, honesty, and heart.

Season 25/26 features three thrilling programs filled with world premieres by nine celebrated choreographers, each selected for their artistic vision and fearless creativity.

We begin in August with our annual series of free Pop-Ups throughout Seattle, including performances in partnership with the Seattle Downtown Association. These spontaneous, site-specific performances bring professional dance into public spaces and invite audiences to experience the joy of movement in unexpected places.

In September, the season officially opens at the Erickson Theatre with the 11th edition of our Choreographic Shindig. This unique program is curated by the dancers of Whim W’Him, who annually select three choreographers from a highly competitive pool of international applicants. Our Fall ’25 program features compelling creations by Chloe Crenshaw, Genna Moroni, and Lea Ved, each bringing a unique voice, fresh perspective and inventive movement vocabulary.

On November 5, 2025, we invite you to join us for our Fall Fête at the National Nordic Museum. This festive evening includes food, drinks, performances, and opportunities to support Whim W’Him’s mission through live and silent auctions. Meet the artists, connect with fellow Whimmers, and enjoy a memorable night celebrating creative risk-taking and community.

In January, our Winter ’26 program returns to the Cornish Playhouse. This captivating evening features new creations by returning choreographers FLOCK (Florian Lochner and Alice Klock), Emilie Leriche, and Olivier Wevers. These artists bring depth, nuance, and poetic physicality to a powerful mid-season performance.

On April 18, 2026 we celebrate sixteen seasons of Whim W’Him with our Spring Fling, “Sweet Sixteen,” held at the Whim W’Him Contemporary Dance Center in Queen Anne. Expect an evening full of stirring performances, celebration, and connection as we honor the company’s journey and help shape its future.

We close the season in May at the Cornish Playhouse with our Spring ’26 program, featuring new works by Rena Butler, James Gregg, and Olivier Wevers. These three celebrated choreographers return with bold, emotionally charged pieces that reflect the evolving landscape of contemporary dance.

Season 25/26 is a celebration of artistry, innovation, and community. When you become a member, you gain early access, the best seats, and exclusive invitations throughout the year. Most importantly, you help bring exceptional dance to the stage. Join us and be part of something extraordinary.
