STUDIO COORDINATOR

Whim W’Him Dance Centre is seeking a proactive, people-focused Studio Coordinator to support the daily running of our vibrant dance studio. This is a hands-on, client-facing role for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, with potential for the position to expand into a full-time role beyond the initial 3-month contract.

Part-Time (with potential to become Full-Time)
Location: Whim W’Him Dance Centre, Seattle
Contract: 3-month initial term
Schedule: Mon–Thurs 3:30–8:30pm, Sat 8:30am–1:30pm
Start Date: Immediate

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the welcoming face of the studio during peak hours, you’ll provide high-quality service to students, families, and renters; support the teaching team; and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. You’ll also contribute valuable insight to help improve customer experience and optimise attendance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver friendly, professional customer service in person, by phone, and via email
  • Respond to enquiries about classes, programs, and studio rentals
  • Communicate urgent changes (e.g. teacher illness, weather closures, access issues)
  • Ensure renters are welcomed, supported, and adhering to studio policies
  • Manage bookings, refunds, and data updates in Mindbody (MBO)
  • Oversee sub coverage and support teaching staff with scheduling and attendance
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment
  • Contribute insights and suggestions to help improve studio operations and service

ABOUT YOU

You’re organised, calm under pressure, and passionate about providing great service. You enjoy working in a fast-paced arts or community environment and are comfortable working independently on-site. You bring a people-first mindset and take pride in supporting both the creative process and those who participate in it.

YOU’LL NEED

  • Experience in a studio, performing arts, customer service, or community-facing role
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Confidence using booking systems (Mindbody experience a plus)
  • A proactive, self-directed approach
  • Interest in dance or the performing arts is strongly valued

COMPENSATION

  • $25/hr
