Alice Klock and Florian Lochner discovered their co-creative magic while serving as dancers and Choreographic Fellows at Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. In 2017, they created FLOCK, through which they perform their own work and co-create new choreography for film and stage. Their most recent international tours include their evening length productions “Somewhere Between” (named one of Chicago Tribune’s top 10 shows of 2023) , “Quest” and “Anima”.

As a team, they have choreographed for multiple dance companies, universities, and cultural institutions, including Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Whim W’Him, GroundWorks DanceTheater, Backhausdance, Orsolina 28, Ballet Idaho, University of Michigan, Seattle Dance Collective, the Goethe Institut, the Alonzo King LINES Ballet BFA, and the 92nd Street Y. Every year they create a new work for the Freilichtspiele Schwäbisch Hall in southern Germany where they are company in residence.

Emilie Leriche is a freelance performer and creator based in Göteborg, Sweden. From 2017-2021 she danced with GöteborgsOperans Danskompani under the artistic direction of Katrín Hall. Prior to her move to Sweden, Leriche danced four seasons with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, where in 2015 she was awarded a Princess Grace Foundation fellowship in dance as well as named one of Dance Magazine’s Top 25 to Watch.

As an independent choreographer she has created work on Nederlands Dans Theater II, Whim W’Him, the tanzensemble of Theater St. Gallen, Ballett Hagen, and Gibney Company. Her most recent work Terrific, and Everywhere, a new creation for Ballet Edmonton in Canada, premiered in February of 2025. As an independent performer since 2021, she has been a part of several creative and performance teams, including Ella Rothschild’s Milk Teeth, Kor’Sia’s Mont Ventoux, Imre & Marne Van Opstal’s Voodoo Waltz, Antonin Rioche’s we are doing great, and Martin Harriague’s Crocodile. Most recently she has been a guest in Jonathan Fredrickson’s work for Ballett Basel, I Will, Love.

In 2021 her project, On Mending, a collaboration with Shawn Fitzgerald Ahern, was selected for Orsolina 28’s “Call for Creation” fellowship where the work was originally developed for film. In 2022, with the support of a “Work-in-Progress” grant from the Princess Grace Foundation, On Mending was further developed and performed as a live production at Baryshnikov Arts Center in New York City. In 2023, Leriche and Ahern were commissioned by BAC to direct their next film, One & One Other; which premiered on BAC’s digital platform in April of 2023.

From ballet training in his native Belgium, Olivier learned the beauty, passion and discipline of the art. On coming to North America at age 19, he discovered the exhilaration of many new dance forms. As a principal dancer, first with Royal Winnipeg Ballet and later, for most of his dancing career, with Pacific Northwest Ballet, he acquired his strong conviction that dancers are the heart and soul of a company. As such they, and artists in general, must live at the very center of the process, their dignity, psychological and creative growth and safety deemed just as essential as their technical accomplishments. 

During his years of performing in classical and contemporary works by choreographers from around the world, Olivier also discovered the thrill of making dances and how imaginative story-telling and movement exploration connect to caring about individuality and physicality. Creating dances fed his perennial curiosity. It became “my way to express myself and, during the process, to be able to learn more about the human condition, start dialogues, touch people and share ideas, reflecting on our times and our humanity.”

Michael’s critically acclaimed lighting and scenery has been seen in venues all over the USA, Europe, and Asia, ranging from opera houses to amphitheaters to circus tents to hay barns. The 3-time New York Dance and Performance Award winner has designed lighting and scenery for many dance companies, in the USA, Australia, Finland, Sweden, Cuba. He designed lighting and video for the 2015 Presidential Scholars Awards, at the Kennedy Center Concert Hall. Michael has also been Senior Scenic Designer on two Comedy Central Celebrity Roasts, as well as the 2015 Lincoln Awards at the Kennedy Center Concert Hall for Uplight, Inc, based in NYC. Some of his performance photography has been published in Liz Lerman’s book “Hiking the Horizontal”, as well on the websites and marketing materials for Bebe Miller Company and Rachel Tess Dance.
