Whim W’Him’s annual Fall Choreographic Shindig invites company dancers to take the curatorial lead, selecting three choreographers from a highly competitive pool of international applicants. This unique model centers the dancers’ voices while amplifying a broad range of artistic perspectives.
This season, choreographers Chloe Crenshaw, Genna Moroni, and Lea Ved bring richly contrasting visions to the stage. Chloe shapes dreamlike terrain with precision and depth, blending emotional nuance with sharp structural clarity. Genna creates from instinct and immediacy, with movement that feels both cinematic and deeply personal. Lea’s work is at once intimate and expansive, emerging from a rigorous physical inquiry that invites vulnerability and transformation. Together, they shape a season that reflects the complexity of being human through choreography that feels, questions, and reveals.
Don’t miss our special Sunday matinee on September 14, hosted by our favorite queen of charm and cheek, Betty Wetter, back to stir things up and shine even more light on the dancing.

CHOREOGRAPHER
Lea Ved
she/her/hers
Lea Ved (1991, Anaheim) is an independent choreographer and performer based in the Netherlands. Her work and research developed alongside a rich dance career — in reflection, deviation, and inquiry. Her creations are exploratory and investigative in nature, with a physical language seeped between the detail of form and a cultivated improvisational practice. She is interested in the body as conduit for the expression of heritage, purity, disruption, absurdity, catharsis. Her work has been described as vigorous and raw, coupled with subtle and vulnerable, leaving impressions that are soft and tactile with poetic seriousness. She graduated from The Juilliard School and has performed internationally with Nederlands Dans Theater, The Royal Swedish Ballet, RUBBERBANDance Group, and as a guest with Kidd Pivot, Out Innerspace Dance Theater, and Anne Plamondon Productions. Her more notable works as a choreographer have been produced by Göteborgsoperans Danskompani, NDT, Korzo Theater, Poetic Disasters Club, Heavy Hitters Breakdance Crew and CaDance Festival. In 2025 she joined Korzo Theater for four years as an artist in residence.
